The author behind Teen Witch is Maryam Wells who revamped All About Us and Double Trouble into popular novel series for teens and she wrote Sisterly Love about three sisters in Los Angeles.The series takes place in an neighborhood area of Los Angeles called "Baldwin Hills". Kat's basic premise with being a teenager and fighting demons and warlocks, and its drama earned the show comparisons to shows like Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Charmed. Her grandmother counsels her on the proper use of her magic and give her moral advice. As a novice witch, her spells often go awry. Many people say that when they became a Witch, they feel like they finally have a name for those.
